Breezin' Thru Theory

Students now have an account for "Breezin' Thru Theory" to work on their music theory skills.

Assignments completed that show mastery of the subject matter may help improve your grade for the year.

If you decide to complete these lessons, I strongly urge you to start with the first lesson (the staff). This is because some lessons only use treble or bass clef for examples and quizzes. If you don't read these clefs on a regular basis, some lessons may be difficult to complete. This is also a great opportunity to learn a new clef! (Cellos and basses, there is a lesson on reading tenor clef for you!)

Also, I recommend you use the "Next Gen" version. This works best through Chrome, and is compatible with almost all devices including smartphones and tablets. Safari works well for iPads and iPhones.

Follow the below instructions to login and begin your theory journey. You can earn fun rewards through completing lessons, and there is also a composition subscription included for those students that are interested.

If you get confused, or have questions, please Mrs. Malechek (malechja@pwcs.edu) for help.

IMPORTANT Techy Tips for STUDENTS

  1. Log in here https://breezinthru.com/login

  2. When you log in, type your name the exact same way each time (no typos) or you will not see all your results. Please use full last names - no abbreviations. Select your orchestra from the list provided.

  3. Remember to click “submit” after you complete a drill/reflection or your result will not be recorded.

  4. See your Theory results in 3 places: Drill page, Chapter Table of Contents, and your Student Dashboard (website-subscriber area). Do well and collect some fun rewards!

  5. Student Compositions: After you’ve created a composition upload the “audio file” to your student dashboard — so you can play your tunes from there. It’s very cool! Upload instructions in dashboard.
